Tony Baroud
Media presenter and former basketball playerA former Lebanon national-team player who later built a career in television presentation and sports commentary.
Biography
Tony Baroud was born in Machghara and began playing basketball at school before entering local and international competitions. He completed university studies at Notre Dame University–Louaize.
He played for Al-Kahrabaa, Sagesse, and Al-Wardieh and represented the Lebanese national team. He received regional individual awards and recognition for scoring and sportsmanship before an injury ended his playing career.
Baroud then moved into media, using his sporting experience in television presentation and sports commentary.
He entered broadcasting at LBCI as a basketball commentator and moved into game and entertainment programmes in 2000. In 2013 he served as the station’s director of artistic affairs.
He later returned to sports commentary through MTV and hosted a daily radio programme on Sawt El Ghad. In 2023 he moved to Dubai to present talk and game shows on the Blinx platform while continuing work in media training and motivational speaking.
