
Suleiman Trabulsi
Judge, former president of the Court of Audit, and former ministerA judge born in Machghara who served as Lebanon’s Minister of Hydraulic and Electrical Resources.
Biography
Judge Suleiman Trabulsi was born in Machghara in the West Bekaa and pursued a career in the judiciary and public service.
He was appointed Minister of Hydraulic and Electrical Resources in the government of Prime Minister Salim Hoss, serving from 4 December 1998 until 26 October 2000.
Trabulsi died on 15 February 2021 and remains among the figures from Machghara who reached national judicial and ministerial office.
Suleiman Chafic Trabulsi was born in Machghara in 1936. He advanced through the judiciary and served as president of Lebanon’s Court of Audit before joining the cabinet.
In the same government he was responsible for both hydraulic and electrical resources and the oil portfolio. He also lectured at the Institute of Judicial Studies and authored studies in administrative and financial sciences.
