Biography
Haytham Ahmad Mouzahem is a Lebanese researcher, journalist, and political analyst from Machghara who was born and raised in Beirut. He studied philosophy, Islamic studies, and journalism at the Lebanese University and earned a doctorate in philosophy and Islamic studies.
He worked in journalism and research centers, held senior editorial and research roles, and published in Arabic and English on Islamic thought, international relations, and regional conflict. He also founded The Levant newspaper and the Beirut Centre for Middle East Studies and has participated in university teaching and research.
He founded and directs the Center for Asian and Chinese Studies in Beirut. His more recent work focuses on China, Asia, Arab-Chinese relations, and the Belt and Road Initiative, alongside his continuing research on political and religious thought in the Middle East.
