Hajj Chafic Moussa belongs to Machghara and to the Lebanese diaspora community in the United States.

He gave an extended testimony covering sixty years in the history of the Islamic Center of America and the volunteering, institution-building, and community service associated with that period.

His testimony is a source of oral history for Machghara’s diaspora and documents part of the relationship between emigrants, their social and religious institutions, and their town of origin.
