Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church is one of Machghara’s religious landmarks and serves an active Orthodox parish in the town.
In September 2018, the church welcomed Patriarch John X during a pastoral visit to Machghara. A service of thanksgiving was held in the presence of parishioners and representatives from across the town’s communities.
Together with Machghara’s other places of worship, the church reflects the town’s history of religious diversity and social connection.
