Fifteen years after its inception, the United People of Machghara continues the journey in realizing the dreams of a more united, better understood, and highly successful town. We remain committed to the goals for bringing our people together to strengthen unity, to build and enhance bridges with our town, and to provide
the favorable climate for our youth to understand and appreciate their roots.The experience of the very first years was very encouraging: the attendance at various events planned by the group has always exceeded our expectations. The energy exhibited by members, men and women, in pursuing our goals has been tremendous. The reaction of non-members was generally positive. Activities
were well received and appreciated by our people.At the present time, we do not believe that what we did is all what we could do. We do not believe that there is a limit to what the people of Machghara can achieve. In order to accomplish more, we need more: we need more members. We need more support. We are counting on every individual from Machghara to become a member. This organization belongs to all of us, the descendants of Machghara. We said it loud and clear, in actions and words, that there is no place among us for division and discrimination. We are solely driven by our love to each other and by our love to our town and ancestry. Our children deserve to know their roots and to know that they belong. We owe it to them and to ourselves to raise them with these
feelings and to afford them this support.We need you. We need your support. We want you to join us. The United People of Machghara can do a lot for our children if we all join hand-in-hand to make way for the achievement of our goals.
