All my deep respect to Machghara whom gave me my dear beloved wife Randa Abboudy and thanks to her Machgharanies habits and education I have today the best and most wonderful family. I used to live in Brazil and she kept me in Lebanon trough her love to Machghara and Lebanon

انهيارات تعزل البقاع عن الجنوب وتهدد منازل مأهولة في مشغرة
مشغرة - شبلي ابو عاصي
شهدت بلدة مشغرة في البقاع الغربي خلال الايام الماضية انهيارات عدة، وزحل اتربة وصخور تسببت بقطع الطريق الرئيسي الذي يربط البقاع اللبناني عبر مشغرة - جزين - والجنوب. اضافة الى تصدع منازل واصابتها بتشققات. الانهيارات الكبيرة التي وقعت في منطقة البلانة - الشحارة من الجهة الجنوبية لمشغرة، سدت الطريق الرئيسي بطول اكثر من مائتي متر، وصدعت منزلين يقعان فوق الطريق. وعزلت احياء من مشغرة
المواطن جودت ابراهيم قال ان هذا الطريق رئيسي وهذه المنطقة كانت عرضة دائمة للانهيارات، والتنظيم المدني في الفترات السابقة رفض اعطاء تراخيص لابناء مشغرة للبناء في هذه المنطقة، او بجوارها لأن زحل الأتربة مهددة في كل لحظة. وبعد اتصالات حثيثة مع وزارة الأشغال عمدت الى ارسال فريق كشف، وعملت فرقها على وقف الانهيارات، خصوصاً انه توجد بيوت مأهولة اصبحت في دائرة الخطر
أهالي مشغرة، ناشدوا وزارة الأشغال عدم المماطلة في العمل لأن التأخير يهدد سلامة المواطنين ومصالحهم، كون الانهيارات تقع في منطقة سكنية وطريق رئيسي لا يوجد سواه للتواصل بين البقاع وجزين وبعض بلدات البقاع الغربي باستثناء طريق ضيق محفر يصعب اجتيازه

Mr. J. Ibrahim is already aware of this project. I will start from myself here with a donation of $500.00 to the people of Machghara's team effort. You can make your checks and send it to the bank directly if you like.

Dear Machgharanians,
I always read nice comments from each one of you about our lovely town, but no one of us likes to get to work. Please stop the talking and let us team our effort together so we can build our home town and take it back to the old times, before 1982, and by Donating $ 5.00 Dollars of each one of us to help the municipality of our town (which we don't have one yet) and fix what nature is damaging in our town, and clean up the damage (what the very nice contractor leaving behind) who was working in our town last summer from the water company to supplies the other towns in the area.
To all Machgharanians, time comes to look after our town, please respond to your responsibilities.

Breaking News
It was on the news today that the road from Bekaa to the South of Lebanon has been disconnected in Machghara at the Shahhara area due to the collapse caused by heavy rain (naturals causes), For those who can remember, that area was always threatened by the landslide, well folks now it happened and for those of you who did not see the news today, what is left from the road is a one meter foot path only.
Don't you think the time has come to respond to our friend Ali Younis' old message when he called upon us to raise some funds (as little as $5 each person) to fix that road.
Please think about it and place your valuable comments on this page.

Firstly, a brave person leaves his or her name when they write something. Secondly, I don’t believe that you have any malicious intentions towards my position and responsibility towards Machghara. Therefore, let me assure you that you cannot destroy my thoughts on this website in public. Thirdly, and to answer your weak comments, it appears hat low self-esteem might have been the principle cause for your comments, and can be viewed as a major risk factor for a broad range of your psychological and behavioural problems. For example, your low-self esteem can be easily measured by the quality of your word which can lead to a lack of success and general dissatisfaction with your life.

Finally sir, A CANDLE LOSES NONE OF ITS LIGHT BY LIGHTING ANOTHER CANDLE. I hope you can understand the meaning of this proverb…
