I had no idea this even existed. I have always wondered about Machghara. My grandfather left in 1922 to come to the United States. My great Aunt had an orchard there for many years. I am hoping to visit in the near future. My grandfather was Naja Hajjar son of Jabour Hajjar who was the son of Elias and Anna Hajjar. My great Aunt was Besma Hajjar. I am 49 years old living in the Chicago area. Thank you.

Thank you very much for preserving the innocence and beauty of the Machghara that I remember from long ago. Machghara has always been on my mind and it makes me proud to see others, young and old, carry on the torch and lift Machghara to new heights. There are some who would like to see Machghara remain in the dark and past, it's up to us from the past, to link with the generation of the present and future and create a stronger, united Machghara. Machghara has always been known and will forever be known as the bearer of love, kindness, and beauty of all people from there. Keep up the great work For all of you current, and past generations of this beautiful homeland, always be proud and remember our homeland. Great job Nasser. We're proud of you and your doings!  From The Heart I cry: Tahya Baladna. Riyad Rayshouny, Michigan, USA.  08 Jan 2002

Thank you Hassana and Nasser for such a great Mashghara web site. Lots of changes since I last browsed it. With your beautiful albums, I was able to walk through the narrow streets and the amazing fields of Mashghara. Thank you for the initiative and keep up the good work.

When you see a simple view of Machghara, you see it from your heart as a part of yourself, memories of your life. This is the title of a research that I'm doing this year in France. I thank you for this website that represent to me a documentation resource. So I look forward to have your permission to use some special photos from your album and that will be very useful to demonstrate my ideas. I thank you all who did work on this website and specially the eagle eyes who did take these photos.
